New shredding facility for electronic boards and WEEE

At Silmisa Maquinaria, we reaffirm our commitment as leaders in the manufacture of industrial machinery for recycling, adapting to the specific needs of each client and the materials they wish to transform. Recently, we have successfully installed our Lince 52/240 machine in the facilities of one of our customers, which will allow us to manage and optimize the recycling and shredding of electronic boards and WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment).

What is WEEE and why is recycling important?

WEEE or waste electrical and electronic equipment refers to the waste generated when electronic and electrical devices, such as mobile phones, household appliances, computers, televisions, etc. reach the end of their useful life. It is a highly recoverable material that contains valuable components and its shredding and recycling is highly recommended for reincorporation into production processes.

In addition, this waste often contains a combination of materials that can be harmful to the environment if not handled correctly. For this reason, shredding and recycling is essential.

Some of the main benefits of the recycling process are:

  • Reducing environmental pollution.
  • Recovery of valuable materials.
  • Reduce the disposal of these materials in landfills.
  • Compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Promote the circular economy by reintegrating materials into new production cycles.

Innovation and advanced technology at the service of recycling

Shredding electronic boards and WEEE presents unique challenges due to the heterogeneous composition of this waste, which includes heavy metals, reinforced plastics and complete circuit boards. The Lince 52/240 has been designed to overcome these challenges with efficiency, and stands out for having:

  • Blade systems: ensuring a clean cut and a long service life of the machine’s rotor.
  • Advanced safety mechanisms: strong protection of the worker at all times and avoid damage to the equipment in the event of spillage of unprocessed materials.
  • Low maintenance: this type of machinery is easy to maintain, which helps to reduce operating costs.

Discover our Lince 52/240 machine and its impact on efficient and powerful shredding.

The Lince 52/240 model represents one of the highest standards in efficiency and robustness for the shredding of electronic boards and other components associated with WEEE. It has been developed by our team to be able to handle different types of materials depending on their configuration, incorporating state-of-the-art technology that guarantees:

  • High throughput: it’s ideal for industrial operations that require consistent, reliable and fast performance.
  • Precise and homogeneous material size reduction: optimized to maximize value in the recovery of metals, plastics and other reusable components.
  • Robust and durable design: its structure is made of high quality materials ensuring continuous operation even under demanding conditions.
