Visit of the students of the CIPFP Canastell to Silmisa Maquinaria | An encounter with the future of industrial mechatronics

On 3 December 2024, we had the pleasure of welcoming second-year students from the CIPFP Canastell Higher Level Industrial Mechatronics training programme to our Silmisa Maquinaria facilities. This visit is part of the 2024 Technical Conference, organized by the institute between 2 and 5 December, whose main objective is to bring students closer to the business world and provide them with a first-hand look at the latest innovations in the industrial world.

A direct encounter with technology and the challenges of the sector

The students enjoyed a guided tour of our facilities, where they had direct access to our production lines and observed the manufacturing process of the industrial machines we design for recycling. During the day, we were able to explain the technological advances implemented in our machinery and discuss the main challenges and advances currently facing the industrial mechatronics sector.

One of the most notable aspects was the focus on industrial automation, a key trend in the evolution of the mechatronics sector, especially in areas such as industrial recycling, where control and monitoring technologies play a crucial role in optimising process efficiency.

Collaboration and training for future industry professionals

This event not only allowed students to visit the Silmisa Maquinaria facilities, but was also part of a series of visits and talks organised by CIPFP Canastell, which included the collaboration of renowned companies such as PLD Space, AIJU (Technological Institute of Children’s Products and Leisure), Orona Group, Procter & Gamble and PFERD-Rüggeberg Spain. These visits allow future professionals in electromechanics and industrial mechatronics to broaden their knowledge of the various facets and applications of their training in an increasingly digital world. Appreciation and commitment to the training of future professionals

At Silmisa Maquinaria, we firmly believe in the importance of contributing to the training of future professionals in industrial mechatronics, a sector that is fundamental to the development of new innovative technologies. We are grateful to CIPFP Canastell for giving us this opportunity to share our knowledge and experience with students and to help them take another step forward in their academic and professional training.

Inspiration and motivation for the future

We are proud to have been able to contribute to the development of these students. We are confident that they have been inspired and motivated to continue exploring and learning in the world of industrial engineering and mechatronics through this visit.

Silmisa Maquinaria involved in innovation and sustainability

At Silmisa Maquinaria, we specialize in manufacturing industrial recycling machinery, a key sector in the circular economy and the fight for global sustainability. During the day, the students explored the work we do to offer innovative solutions tailored to market needs.

They discovered the entire process involved in manufacturing our products and gained a practical insight into how cutting-edge technology and efficient processes are integrated to provide an effective solution to environmental challenges. Our professionals were also on hand to answer all the students’ questions, creating an interactive and enriching learning environment.

Thank you to everyone who made this special day possible!
